How to Choose A Compact SUV for Your Family – the 6 Best Choices
If you’re looking for a stylish and versatile vehicle for the whole family, nothing comes close to beating the compact SUV. These revolutionary vehicles have made a significant impact on the automotive world since 1984 Jeep Cherokee XJ introduced this concept to the world, and as we step into the 2020s, China has established a name for coming out with some of the best compact SUVs money can buy. Today, we’ll tell you all about the 6 best Chinese Compact SUVs that deserve your attention, and what makes them miles better than the rest of the competition.
NIO ES8
Kicking off the list is one of the most technologically advanced Chinese SUVs in recent memory – the Nio ES8. Based on a unique skateboard platform and penned in Germany, this all-electric SUV is taking the price of European SUVs twice its price.
The range is one of the main factors any buyer would have to think twice about before picking up a brand-new electric SUV, and with a 222-mile range, you won’t have to be worried about taking the ES8 on cross-country tips. Want to know what’s better? It only takes 90 minutes to fully charge this stylish SUV.
BYD Tang EV

Next up is another all-electric SUV, and this one promises to “Build Your Dreams.” Cliched name aside, the BYD Tang EV is another impressive EV SUV to come out of China, and its 100 kWh battery unlocks up to 530 kilometers of range on a full charge.
Want some excitement in your next family adventure? The Tang EV has you covered on that front as well. 0 to 100 km/h takes a mere 4.9 seconds, and the all-wheel drive powertrain makes sure that you stay glued to the road no matter how slippery the road gets.
Lynk & Co 01

Lynk & Co might be a newcomer in the Chinese auto industry, but it is quickly making waves as the ‘Next Big Thing.’ The 01 is their entry into the compact crossover segment, and it pairs a fuel-efficient gasoline powertrain with a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor and a 9 kWh Lithium-ion battery for unparalleled performance and efficiency.
The Lynk & Co 01 shares much of its underpinnings with the popular Volvo XC40, and shares a similar 5.5-star safety rating. If you are looking for a sleek and stylish SUV, this one deserves your attention!
Hongqi HS5
Hongqi is one of the most prestigious brands in the Chinese automotive industry, and the HS5 turns a new chapter in the brand’s history books. The HS5 is one of the first Hongqi’s to appeal to the masses, with a stylish body designed by the maestros at Italdesign and internals shared with the popular Audi A5.
Powered by a 220-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the HS5 comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission with an unprecedented 5 drive modes. What’s more is that it comes with an intelligent BorgWarner all-wheel-drive system and an advanced suspension system, making the HS5 equally capable both on and off the road.
Geely Icon

The Geely Icon is one of the most futuristic-looking SUVs on this list, with an eye-catching “8-bit” design that makes it stand apart from the rest. Taking design influence from the French side of things, the Icon pairs a 177-horsepower, 3-cylinder turbocharged engine with an advanced hybrid system and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission for a well-rounded package at an affordable price point, making it another compact SUV that deserves your hard-earned cash.
The interior of the Geely Icon is equally impressive, with a two-tone finish just like the exterior, two high-definition displays, a massive panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting fixtures that you can change depending on your mood.
The Icon is well-equipped on the safety front as well, with automatic emergency braking, 360-degree surround cameras, parking assistance, and lane change assistance all coming as standard.
BYD ATTO 3
The ATTO 3 is the second BYD model to make an appearance on this list, and this is for a good reason. As you might have guessed, the ATTO 3 is all-electric and comes with a 260-mile range and a 0 to 60 time of 7.3 seconds. The exterior of the ATTO 3 might not be off-the-charts as some of its rivals, but there’s something we quite like about the understated design.
The interior is where BYD has delivered in spades, with a swooping dashboard, a kettlebell-shaped gear selector knob, and door handles that stylishly wrap around the speakers. The front seats are electrically adjustable, and the seating position is also higher than what the rest of the pack offers.
As you might have guessed, the ATTO 3 also has a vast number of safety features cramped into it, and for the price you pay, it’s hard to argue about the value for money the ATTO 3 provides.
Changan CS75 Plus
Now, we come to the final entry on our list, and we have saved the best for last. The Changan CS75 Plus is one of the most popular SUVs in China, and if it continues to be this impressive, that popularity isn’t going anywhere.
The CS75 is one of the oldest compact SUVs from China still in production, having made its debut all the way back in 2013. The second generation CS75 was introduced in 2022, and it’s still going strong!
With a 2.0-liter turbocharged Blue Core engine paired with an 8-speed transmission, the CS75 certainly does not lack performance. The exterior is pure eye candy, with swoopy LED headlights and a sloping roofline capturing the attention of every passerby. Practicality also takes precedence, with a rear cargo volume of 620 liters which goes all the way up to 140 liters when the rear seats are folded down.
Practicality, performance, comfort, technology, range, and safety are just a few factors you should consider when choosing a compact SUV, and all the models we talked about here deliver all that and more in spades.

The Qin L DM-i is one of the first models to feature BYD’s fifth-generation hybrid technology. The DM (Dual Mode) hybrid technology has evolved since its inception in 2008, with the fourth generation debuting in 2021.
The DM platform was then divided into two lines: the performance-oriented DM-p and the efficiency-focused DM-i.
Unmatched Fuel Efficiency and Range
BYD makes bold claims about its latest DM-i platform, boasting a thermal efficiency rate of 46.06% and a combined driving range of up to 2100 kilometers. The fifth-generation DM-i hybrid platform also delivers an impressive fuel consumption figure of 2.9L/100 km, a significant improvement over the previous generation’s 3.8L/100 km.

The base model pairs the engine with a 120 kW electric motor and a 10.08 kWh battery, while higher-spec models feature a 160 kW motor and a more powerful 15.874 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery.
The combined power output enables the Qin L DM-i to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 180 km/h.
Despite this performance, the Qin L DM-i still offers an all-electric range of 80 km for the base model and a class-leading 120 km for the higher-spec model, making it ideal for both short trips and long journeys.
Market Reception and Future Outlook
BYD’s innovations with the Qin L DM-i have not gone unnoticed, as over 5000 units were sold within the first three days of its launch. The car’s appealing looks, impressive interior, and class-leading efficiency suggest that the Qin L DM-i has the potential to revolutionize the mid-size sedan market. With the 2024 Qin L DM-i, BYD aims to take the automotive world by storm.
Which one is better, Li Auto MEGA or Zeekr 009?
In today’s high-end electric MPV camp, when it comes to popular representative models, the Li Auto MEGA and the Zeekr 009 are obviously influential. The former, as the pioneering work of Li Auto’s entry into the pure electric field, has attracted the attention of many consumers since its launch, while the latter has been fighting in the market for some time, also relying on its product strength to firmly establish its position. So, when comparing these two top-notch models in the same category, which one is more worth considering? This article will objectively interpret their product performance through comparison. Let’s take a look below!

Price
The newly launched Li Auto MEGA is available in only one configuration version, with an official guide price of 559,800 RMB; the Zeekr 009 is available in two configuration versions, with an official guide price ranging from 500,000 to 588,000 RMB. In order to ensure the fairness of this comparison test, I deliberately selected configuration models with similar prices. They are the Li Auto MEGA Max version, priced at 559,800 RMB, and the Zeekr 009 2023 model, ME version, with a guide price of 588,000 RMB.
Front Appearance
These two models can be said to each have their own highlights. Let’s start with the Li Auto MEGA. Unlike the previous L-series design language, the Li Auto MEGA appears more avant-garde and futuristic. The rounded and full front face layout gives people a sense of high-speed train sets. The continuous style of the headlight combination also adds a nice finishing touch. Apart from its overall simple and atmospheric appearance, it also has a high degree of recognition. As for the Zeekr 009, compared to the design style of the Li Auto MEGA, it focuses more on creating a sense of luxury. In addition to the unique split-type headlights, the Zeekr 009’s large, enclosed grille gives it a Rolls-Royce-like charm.

Side
The side profile of the Li Auto MEGA continues to break away from convention. Its design sets it apart from conventional models, with curved roof lines and simple side designs creating a sophisticated and futuristic atmosphere. What’s noteworthy about the Li Auto MEGA’s side design is not only its stylish and cool visual appearance but also its superior aerodynamic coefficient compared to most models on the market. The side profile of the Zeekr 009 is more square and solid, conforming to the mainstream image of an MPV. The chrome-plated trim panel embedded on one side of the roof enhances its exquisite and upscale feel to some extent, and the use of starry aluminum alloy wheels also adds a touch of charm to its side appearance.

Rear
The rear of the Li Auto MEGA continues to adhere to the minimalist design philosophy. There are no flashy or sharp lines piled up. Similar to the front face design, it presents a full and solid image, showing a strong and steady posture. The integrated blackened taillight assembly blends seamlessly with the body, creating a well-coordinated overall aesthetic. The quality of the Li Auto MEGA’s taillights is commendable, especially when illuminated at night. The rear design of the Zeekr 009 also conforms to the aesthetic preferences of mainstream consumers. The continuous taillight design is present, and the square overall contour also echoes the overall design theme of the vehicle.

Interior
In terms of interior design, the Li Auto MEGA has not undergone major changes and still follows the familiar L-series style. The symmetrical layout of the center console, the elimination of the conventional instrument panel, and the integrated dual-screen display located in the middle and right side of the cabin further enhance the sense of technology. Additionally, the materials and craftsmanship of the interior continue the brand’s tradition of excellence. The MEGA interior features a large amount of soft leather material wrapping, and the attention to detail is solid. The Zeekr 009 also adopts a family-style design language. Although it does not come with the trendy dual-screen setup, the floating-style 15.4-inch central control display still exudes a strong sense of technology. As the flagship MPV of the Zeekr lineup, the interior quality of the 009 is equally impressive with no apparent shortcomings.

Configuration
Both vehicles have notable features, achieving a comprehensive level of equipment. They both come with features such as Level 2 driving assistance, automatic parking, air suspension, Nappa leather seats, and wireless phone charging. However, the Li Auto MEGA offers a more comprehensive package, including additional features such as vehicle summoning, sensor-based rear tailgate, central airbags, side airbags for the rear seats, and power-folding rear seats, providing a slightly better overall driving experience compared to the Zeekr 009.

Body size
The Li Auto MEGA measures 5350/1965/1850mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 3300mm. On the other hand, the Zeekr 009 measures 5209/2024/1858mm, with a wheelbase of 3205mm. From these figures, it’s evident that the Li Auto MEGA holds an advantage in size. Consequently, when it comes to interior space, the Li Auto MEGA outperforms the Zeekr 009. Moreover, the Li Auto MEGA offers a versatile interior layout, capable of transforming into a mobile home at any time, a feature that the Zeekr 009 cannot match.

Power
The MEGA is equipped with dual motors at the front and rear, with a system output of 400 kW and 542 N·m of torque, capable of achieving 0-100 km/h in around 5 seconds. It features a 102.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, providing a pure electric range of 710 km.
On the other hand, the Zeekr 009 is equipped with dual motors with a maximum power of 400 kW and maximum torque of 686 N·m, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds. It utilizes a 140 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering a pure electric range of 822 km. While the Zeekr 009 has slightly better acceleration and range compared to the Li Auto MEGA, it’s important to consider that the Li Auto MEGA is priced more affordably. Additionally, the Li Auto MEGA features 5C supercharging, allowing it to add 500 km of range in just 12 minutes.

Summary:
Over the past two years, there has been a growing demand for high-end pure electric MPVs, prompting major automakers to enter the market. Looking at the two models introduced today, each has its own strengths. Of course, if you have higher space requirements and are looking for a vehicle with social attributes, then the Li Auto MEGA is definitely worth considering.

Leapmotor C10 appearance

As a brand-new mid-size SUV under Leapmotor, the Leapmotor C10 sets its sights on competing with the Li Auto L7. In terms of exterior design, the Leapmotor C10 marks a significant departure from the brand’s previous design language. The most noticeable change is the more rugged lines and contours, such as the air intake grooves on the front bumper, the thicker and more upright C-pillar, and the gunmetal gray multi-spoke wheels, all of which showcase a more youthful and sporty style. In terms of dimensions, the Leapmotor C10 measures 4739/1900/1680mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2825mm, slightly smaller than the Leapmotor C11.
The interior of the Leapmotor C10

The interior of the Leapmotor C10 adopts a completely new design style. Unlike other models under the same brand, this car features a simpler layout for the center console, equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a large-sized central control screen, with a resolution reaching 2.5K. However, the new car does not come with a co-driver screen, which I personally find slightly disappointing.

The pure electric version is equipped with a maximum power of 170 kW electric motor, paired with a 69.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 530 km. The extended range version combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, with the engine delivering a maximum power of 70 kW and the electric motor delivering a maximum power of 170 kW, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 210 km.
2024 Leapmotor C11

One-sentence review of the 2024 Leapmotor C11:
The upgrades are all key essentials, and the product strategy is pragmatic.
Advantages:
1.Four-leaf clover architecture and 8295 chipset are both present.
2.Abundant intelligent driving hardware in high-end versions.
3.Styling meets mature aesthetic preferences.
4.Pricing remains pragmatic as always.
Drawbacks:
Relatively limited differentiation compared to the Leapmotor C10.

Intelligent configuration
The core upgrade of the new Leapmotor C11 lies in the adoption of the all-new four-leaf clover architecture, integrating cockpit, intelligent driving, body, and power domains into one, featuring high computing power, low latency, and fast communication. Additionally, the Qualcomm 8295 chip is standard across the entire lineup. The top-of-the-line model is equipped with a laser radar and Nvidia Orin X chip, achieving the same level of intelligent driving capability as the Leapmotor C10.

Other upgrades
Furthermore, the exterior and interior design of the new Leapmotor C11 remains consistent with the previous models. The exterior introduces a new Songlan Gray color option, while the interior offers a new combination of Xuan Black and Camel Brown colors. The central control screen inside the car has been upgraded to a 14.6-inch 2.5K screen, and the pure electric version features newly added FSD adjustable damping shock absorbers.
About the power system
In terms of powertrain, the new Leapmotor C11 offers both pure electric and range-extended models. 2024 Leapmotor C01

One-sentence summary of the 2024 Leapmotor C01:
Key core upgrades bring noticeable improvements in driving experience.
Advantages:
1.All equipped with the four-leaf clover architecture and 8295 chips.
2.Both fuel and electric options available, eliminating range anxiety.
3.Loaded with comfortable features, offering high value for money.
4.Distinctive design, especially with the addition of the Songlan Gray color option, enhancing its sense of quality.
Drawbacks:
Intelligent driving capabilities are relatively average.
The refresh upgrades of the new Leapmotor C01 are similar to the new Leapmotor C11, with unchanged design and new color options. Of course, it also adopts the new four-leaf clover architecture and Qualcomm 8295 chip, making the improvements in driving experience quite perceptible.

Differences between different versions
Additionally, the configuration versions of the new Leapmotor C01 have undergone significant changes. The pure electric options have been streamlined from four versions to three, eliminating the top-end four-wheel-drive performance version. The range-extender versions remain unchanged with three versions, but compared to the previous models, only the top-end variant uses a larger 43.7 kWh battery, achieving a CLTC pure electric range of 316 km.
Although other configurations have been improved, considering the adjustments in powertrain and battery, and the lack of upgrades in laser radar and intelligent driving chips, Leapmotor has also been impacted by the competitive pricing pressure, aiming for a more consumer-friendly positioning for the new C01, which can also be reflected in its pricing.

Power of Leapmotor C01
In terms of power, the new Leapmotor C01 offers both pure electric and range-extender options. The range-extender models are equipped with a 70 kW 1.5L four-cylinder engine and a 200 kW single motor, with CLTC pure electric ranges of 216 km and 316 km respectively. The pure electric version features a rear-mounted single motor with a maximum power of 200 kW, offering CLTC ranges of 525 km and 625 km as options.

2.Upgraded fast-charging across the lineup, resulting in higher charging efficiency.
3.Longest range in its class, with a maximum range exceeding 400 km.

Why is the Jetour T2 so popular?

Recently, have you often come across the Jetour T2? Jetour is a sub-brand of the well-known Chinese car manufacturer Chery. And Jetour T2 is called Jetour Traveler in China. Many bloggers are test-driving or recommending this car.
Today, let’s take a look at why the Jetour T2 can achieve monthly sales of 10,000 units in China. In recent years, square-shaped urban SUVs have become increasingly popular. What’s the reason? The reason is simple. For example, I may not go mountain climbing in hiking boots, but I wear hiking boots because I like them and I think they look good. The popularity of rugged-looking urban SUVs is because most users buy cars for daily commuting, but they like the rugged off-road style appearance.

Rugged-looking urban SUVs cater to the needs, acceptance, preferences, and suitability of most users. There are no absolutely good or bad models; what matters most is meeting the needs, acceptance, liking, and suitability of users.
The dimensions of the Jetour T2’s body

The Jetour T2 is a rugged urban SUV. Next, we will introduce this car to see if it is suitable for purchase. This car is 1880mm tall, which is very high. The width of the Jetour T2 is 2000mm, for reference, the width of this car is the same as the Land Cruiser. The length is 4785mm, which is 8cm longer than the Chery (Jetour’s parent company) Tiggo 8. The wheelbase is even more impressive, reaching 2800mm, providing a larger rear space. It’s worth noting that the wheelbase of the Highlander is only 2850mm.
Which one to buy, the 1.5T or the 2.0T?
In terms of power, this car has two power versions: 1.5T and 2.0T. I would recommend the 2.0T version. Why? Because the 2.0T is more suitable for the size of this car. The Jetour T2’s 2.0T version comes standard with four-wheel drive, and compared to the 1.5T, the tires are wider, with the 1.5T having 235 tires and the 2.0T model having 255 tires. With wider tires, the grip and stability are better, which also aligns with the positioning of four-wheel drive.

The engine of Jetour T2
The opening of the front hood is quite novel; it can be directly opened by pulling it twice consecutively. However, it still features a single latch design, which is definitely sufficient for a family car. The engine compartment is fully enclosed, housing Chery’s flagship engine with 254 horsepower. This is quite impressive for a car weighing 1.8 tons. The torque is 390 Newton meters, which is considered above average among mass-produced 2.0T vehicles. The engine’s maximum torque platform is reached at 1750 revolutions per minute.
Is Jetour T2 suitable for off-roading?

Since the Jetour T2 is a city SUV, the engine is still positioned transversely. Its transmission, like most city SUVs, includes a central accelerator. Additionally, it comes standard with a rear axle differential lock, which is a very good configuration and suitable for occasional light off-road driving. In recent years, the hardware of city SUVs launched in China has been quite good, mainly focusing on balancing city commuting with occasional light off-road capability. But it would not be suitable for rock climbing, as its positioning and price point are different.
Is the interior of Jetour T2 attractive?

From the interior perspective, it adopts a purely rugged style. If you sit in the Jetour T2 for the first time, you might think you’re in a rugged SUV. Even from the entry-level trim, it comes with heated seats, and basic cruise control is standard, along with seven driving modes to choose from, suitable for most road conditions. Since the Jetour T2 boasts a rugged exterior style, similar to rugged SUVs, the center console is relatively short, and the windshield is more vertical, giving it an overall rugged and masculine appearance.
How comfortable are the seats?
For someone weighing around 180 pounds, the seat’s wrapping isn’t overly tight, providing just the right fit for users with a more robust physique. The cushion’s softness is moderate, considering the relatively low price, making it a good value proposition. Colored seat belts are basically standard in Chinese cars, so there’s no need to spend extra to add them, and the Jetour T2 is no exception. This is a nice touch, especially for younger users who prioritize personalized interiors or styles. From the center console to the interior door panels, including the sound of the doors closing, everything exudes quality. Many areas feature soft materials, and there are boarding steps on both sides for ease of entry and exit.

Other highlights of the Jetour T2
The headroom in the second row is sufficient for most passengers, and there’s also ample legroom. Due to the relatively high body, the rear of the Jetour T2 has a completely flat floor. The “backpack” at the back, a staple of its rugged exterior style, still houses a spare tire. Equipped with a robust limiter, all the accessories are made of high-quality materials, ensuring durability. The rear compartment comes standard with a 12-volt power outlet, a 220-volt power supply, suitable for plugging in an electric blanket or a small rice cooker, as well as some car appliances or low-power devices. It’s worth mentioning that the Jetour T2 has plenty of anchor points, and they’re positioned quite high.
One point to note
This model is overall positioned in the 4800mm size category, so it seems inappropriate to call it a compact SUV. However, labeling it a midsize SUV might not be big enough. When it comes to weight and size, one must be mentally prepared. For example, with a height of 1880mm, one should avoid installing excessively tall roof racks, as it may become too high to enter underground parking lots.
However, considering the price of the Jetour T2, its configuration, the quality assurance from Chery, the 2.0T engine, and its popular rugged off-road appearance, the urban SUV Jetour T2 is highly sought after, with monthly sales in China surpassing ten thousand units. Toyota’s World’s First All-Electric Sedan bZ3
Today brings a very topical new car, the BZ3 from FAW Toyota, a pure electric mid-sized sedan jointly developed by Toyota, BYD, and FAW Toyota, which uses Toyota’s e-TNGA architecture and is powered by lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by BYD. So whether you’re a Toyota fan, a BYD advocate, a fan of Chinese-branded models, or a fan of foreign-branded models, this car is worth a look.

External Appearance
In order to experience the Toyota bZ3 in a more detailed and comprehensive way, we also found the first model of the BZ series, the BZ4X, to compare with this car. bZ3 uses a very similar design to the bZ4X of the bZ series family, which has a power line body design, especially in the front hood part, you can see the two sides of the raised in the middle of the design of the concave. The lower part of the headlamps and the folded lines at the bottom of the lamps are similar to those found on the bZ4X. In the bZ3, the use of a penetrating headlamp design, a total of two sides, and the middle of the three segments, such a shape in the evening visual effect is better than the middle of the use of bright strips of the penetration design.

On top of that, it has a series of wind resistance optimizations that bring the wind resistance to a level of 0.218cd. It can contribute about 40-50km to the increase in range, the CLTC has a range of 517km/616km and the car’s maximum range can reach more than 600km.
Side profile
Come to the side of the body, you can see that the lines of the entire body are still relatively sharp. The whole shape is also biased towards a sporty and youthful style, then the length of the body is 4725mm, and the wheelbase is 2880mm, such a shaft length ratio is also more prominent.

Wheel design
The wheels are designed with an 18-inch low wind resistance wheel that uses a contrast of bright and dark colors to give the wheels a more visually appealing look. Other than that, it uses a 16-inch tire on the lower variants. The concave lines on the lower side of the body with a plastic guard on the lower side make the whole body look slimmer, which is also a common design language for EVs.

The door handle design is one of the bigger highlights of the car. Pressing the button next to it, we can see that the door handle opens by folding inwards, and then we can open the door by pulling it open.

Cut-through taillights
The rear part of the car, the whole adopts the sliding back shape, which is very helpful in reducing the wind resistance coefficient of the rear part of the car. In addition, the central part is a penetrating tail lamp, it is on both sides used a lot of this triangle of this kind of decoration, which will make this tail lamp area look more youthful.

Finally, take a look at the tailgate section. Opening the tailgate we can see that the entire height and width of the opening, including the storage space inside, is relatively large.
Interior Design
The overall shape of the steering wheel is close to a square design, mainly to reduce the obstruction when looking at the front dashboard. And when you are adjusting the direction of the steering wheel, the front dashboard will also be adjusted. Then the two things in front of the steering wheel like shift paddles, in fact, it is one side of the wiper, one side of the headlight adjustment.

The centre section is a large vertical centre console screen with a gearshift mechanism storage slot underneath and a wireless charging pad for mobile phones. It integrates several functions in the shape of an island, which looks relatively innovative. However, it also brings a problem of less storage space.
The centre control screen integrates a lot of control functions of the whole car, so you will see that there are almost no control buttons inside the car, even on the door handle there is no button to adjust the rear-view mirror, and all these functions are concentrated in the big screen. The design of the centre screen interface uses a horizontal sliding effect, coupled with a secondary function menu, it is relatively simple to use.

The rear seat overall is a flat design, and when you sit down to ride space is very spacious, leg space will not be limited. And it is worth mentioning the middle seat, when you sit in the middle the position of the legs can be stretched to the front, because it is in front of the center armrest space all give way to the middle of the passenger to put the foot position.

Low energy consumption and long battery life
The longest-range version of the battery is also only 65 degrees, so how did it manage to get such a long-range? This is thanks to the Toyota bZ3’s low energy consumption of only 12kWh/100km. so you can see that its triple electric technology is doing a very strong job. Another is also thanks to its low wind resistance coefficient, so let the Toyota bZ3 with less power to do a better range.
Summary
Toyota bZ3 is a joint venture pure electric mid-sized car with excellent design and reliable range. Once again, it shows Toyota’s strength in the field of new energy vehicles. The launch of the new car will provide consumers with more choices to meet their needs for fashion, environmental protection, and high performance.
DMO Architecture Hybrid Fangchengbao Bao 5 How About This Car?
Fangchengbao is the specialized personalisation brand of BYD Auto, previously known as the ‘F-brand’. The Fangchengbao Bao 5 is a controversial vehicle that has been described as a cool Chinese hardcore crossover, while others say it’s just an ordinary SUV.

Today, we’re going to share with you what it’s like to drive this car as a city commuter – after all, most people buy this car because they like its boxy shape, not to use it as an off-roader all the time.
“Square box” appearance
The familiar exterior adopts the style of a classic hardcore SUV, with a “square box” body and a “small bag” at the back, plus some trim accents, which can really give people a full sense of power. This design is officially called “Leopard Power Aesthetics”. The front end of the car has a clear sense of hierarchy, with LED light strips on the upper and lower parts of the centre grid, which are connected to the daytime running lights on both sides to form a visual effect of a ring-shaped light strip. It comes in a number of colourways, orange, blue, green, black, white and grey, and I just love that mountain range green, which is very retro; the black gives a more understated feel.

The Bao 5 has an approach angle of 35°, a departure angle of 32°, a longitudinal passing angle of 20°, and a minimum ground clearance of 220 mm, which shows that the Leopard 5’s off-road capabilities are not to be underestimated.

Functional equipment for daily life
In terms of practical features, the luggage rack, electric pedals, and external discharge are all fully equipped. It’s worth mentioning that the Bao 5’s external discharge power reaches 6kW and can be plugged in without an adapter, which means you can have a hotpot and watch an outdoor film in the wilderness while still having another 1hp air conditioner on. In addition, the Bao 5 has a 2.5-tonne towing qualification, so if you’re into caravanning, the Bao 5 can take care of all your outdoor caravanning electricity needs.
Electro-vacuum door rear end
The rear of the Bao 5 is also very simple, with vertical tail lamps echoing the horizontal headlamps. It is worth mentioning that the tailgate of the Bao 5 adopts an electric suction design, avoiding the inconvenience of dust splashing when closing the door.

Multi-style interior
The interior of the Bao 5 also features the same Leopard Force aesthetic and is available in three colours – dark blue, beige and green.
Firstly, there’s this very special gear knob which can be raised at the touch of a button full of ceremony. But I found that as soon as I get in the car and press the brake, it raises itself and doesn’t require a button press.

The center console part is equipped with a total of three large screens, it is worth mentioning that the Bao 5 is equipped with a new generation of FiLink car system, matched with a custom high-performance 6nm chip, chip-level integration of 5G network functions, the overall use of very smooth. But the most commonly used instead is this piece of HUD in front of you, it’s really big at 50 inches. When you are on the motorway HUD above the display of information is enough to use.

This whole car is also with ambient lighting, in fact, all the buttons in the car backlight are cyan, but when you change the ambient light, the color of the buttons in the car is not changed. The center armrest position is also equipped with an on-board refrigerator, there is a knob on it, the capacity is large and also adjusts the temperature and also supports heating, 50 °heating can also heat milk, so this is still suitable for families with small children off-road vehicle.

Interior space
Bao 5 wheelbase of 2800mm, from the rear view of this space is still quite large, in the off-road vehicle inside, the backrest angle is actually already more backward to the chair, and then adjusted backward can be more backward. There is also a reading light above the head, there are white and warm light colors, I still prefer warm tones, more a little. The overall car is relatively dark, it is recommended that those with poor eyesight choose a beige interior.

The back row can be put down, but it still has a small angle to the boot. You should have no problem sleeping in the car if you put on a pillow and quilt.
Because the Fangchengbao Bao 5 windows use double laminated glass, so it is particularly good sound insulation. Its speakers are Diwalay speakers and there is a feature with the headrest speakers, you can open the navigation sound in the driver’s seat does not affect the sound of the car play songs, this feature for us to improve the driving experience. When you are tired of driving you can also open the seat massage, but this feature is only available in the mid-range and the top of the line.

Powertrain of the Bao 5
Fangchengbao Bao 5 This car is a new BYD DMO architecture, the front cabin is the engine, generator, and electric motor, the middle of the chassis is the battery, the rear axle is the rear electric drive assembly, the suspension front and rear are double wishbone structure. Thanks to this architecture it can easily overtake when overtaking at high speeds, and can even use the handling flexibility to describe an off-road vehicle, because its electric acceleration is very fast but the output power is relatively linear, a bit like driving a large displacement self-absorption feeling. When driving in the city road surface can also absorb the subtle vibration from the road surface, even if occasionally encountered larger bumps, but also by virtue of the dry suspension action, not to produce unnecessary shaking.

Disus-P intelligent hydraulic body control system
The Disus-P standard version of the Bao 5 is height-controlled, and the Fangchengbao Bao 5 Pilot Edition has a minimum ground clearance of 220mm, while the Bao 5 Flagship Edition of the Cloud Chariot is able to go up by 50mm and down by 25mm on top of that. this means that the Bao 5 Flagship Edition of the Cloud Chariot will be more powerful when wading in the water or traveling on unpaved surfaces with a lot of ups and downs. It’s also easier to get in and out of basements or tunnels when driving on city roads.

You don’t have to worry when the car runs out of power or can’t be recharged immediately, as the power is still strong enough and the acceleration is also very strong when the car is in a state of power loss. Overall, the Fangchengbao Bao 5 is as comfortable to drive in the city as most urban SUVs and can be used as an off-road vehicle for occasional thrills.

Summary
Everyone has their favourite off-road vehicles, Mercedes-AMG is the pearl of the pyramid, Land Rover Defender 110 is the brand’s cross-country feelings, Tank 300 represents the rise of China’s off-road vehicles, that now China’s off-road vehicles and a new member of the even if the Fangchengbao Bao 5, the appearance of functionality to meet the cross-country, and that’s even more important is that the price inside the cross-country vehicles is very advantageous.
