With the launch of Xpeng G6, Xpeng Automobile simultaneously released the “AI chauffeur” mode, which is planned to be launched to all XNGP owners in the fourth quarter of this year. By analysing the user’s daily high-frequency scenarios in a short period of time and learning the user’s driving style, it can achieve private customised routes and higher commuting efficiency.
Xpeng G6 is equipped with the industry’s only mass-produced high-level intelligent assisted driving system XNGP. Based on BEV + Transformer technology architecture, with 31 high-performance intelligent driving sensors, including LIDAR, and a total computing power of up to 508 TOPS dual Orin-X chip, it can understand every detail of the road and derive the optimal driving path in milliseconds, it represents the top level of high-level intelligent assisted driving capabilities in the industry at present.
Currently, Intelligent Driving has added the ability to cover urban NGP with 21 HD-free maps, the weekly user penetration rate of XNGP has reached 94.6%, the efficiency of urban NGP is close to 90% of the level of human drivers, and the high-speed NGP system can compete with older drivers. Xpeng G6’s new X-EEA 3.5 electronic and electrical architecture has six internal functions, and the most significant benefit is that the OTA upgrade is very fast.
Three major versions of power and long range
In terms of power, Xpeng G6 provides three versions: 580km, 755km and 700km. Among them, the 580km version adopts a rear-mounted single-motor rear drive, with a maximum power of 296 hp and a maximum torque of 440 N-m, accelerating from 0-100km/h in 6.6s, paired with a lithium iron phosphate battery, and a CLTC pure electric range of 580km. The 755km version has unchanged motor parameters, but switches to a ternary lithium battery with a higher discharging power, and the acceleration from 0-100km/h is increased to 5.9s, with a battery capacity of 87.5kWh, CLTC pure electric range reached 755km. high-end version 700 four-wheel drive version in the front axle an additional motor, two motors combined power of 487hp, peak torque of 660N-m, 0-100km/h acceleration in just 3.9s, also with 87.5kWh ternary lithium-ion battery pack, CLTC pure electric range of 700km.
As the first strategic product under the SEPA2.0 “Fuyao” technology architecture, Xpeng G6 is now the only mass-produced intelligent pure-electric SUV in the industry that is equipped with XNGP all-scene intelligent assisted driving, 800V Sic Silicon Carbide high-voltage platform, front and rear unibody aluminium die-casting, and CIB battery-body integration technology.
Stable and fast manoeuvrability
Xpeng G6 is a car born for driving control. The short front/rear overhang design makes the Xpeng G6 more flexible and greatly improves handling stability. China’s only front and rear unibody aluminium die-casting, more integrated, more stable, body torsional stiffness of up to 41,600Nm; the body’s stiffnessimproves the vehicle’s body support and deformation resistance when cornering.
Xpeng G6 is equipped with a class-leading suspension system: front pure aluminium double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension; the front suspension is made of all-aluminium alloy, which effectively reduces the unsprung mass. Xpeng auto chassis has been professionally and meticulously tuned and calibrated by the German TOP engineering team, resulting in Xpeng G6’s high-speed stability, smooth steering feel, and small cornering roll.
The high-performance, highly integrated 800V XPower 3-in-1 electric drive system brings Xpeng G6 a 3.9s 100km acceleration time; this set of full-stack self-researched 800V XPower electric drive also adopts oil-cooled, flat-wire winding technology, which can instantly explode the maximum power output in 0.15s, and the Xpeng G6 100km braking distance is 33.4m.
