Dongfeng M-Hero 917 is a new energy hardcore off-road vehicle, available in both extended range and pure electric versions. The angular lines with oversized bodies show us that it’s tough and domineering all the time.

The M-hero 917 has a length, width and height of 4987/2080/1935mm, with a wheelbase of 2950mm, and is raised up to 2085mm through the suspension to achieve a maximum ground clearance of 335mm, with an approach angle as well as a departure angle of nearly 37 degrees.

The M-Hero 917 comes with a 65-degree battery, 84-litre fuel tank and 1050 torque. Its exterior is designed with a riveted structure with overriding lines, keeping the front and back echoing each other while showcasing the dominant look of the M-Hero 917 mech.

Interior decor

Firstly, the pure electric version of the M-Hero 917 is equipped with four electric motors at the front and rear, releasing a total of 1,088 hp; the range-extended version of the M-Hero 917 is equipped with three electric motors and a 1.5T high-efficiency range-extender, a combination that gives the vehicle a combined range of 1,026 Km, which means that you no longer need to worry about battery power when you go on a long off-road journey, and you really realise the experience of using an electric vehicle for a long time.

M-Hero off-road platform MORA

The M-Hero 917’s outstanding performance is mainly dependent on the MORA off-road platform, which is the first non-load-bearing luxury electric off-road platform independently developed in China. It skilfully blends intelligent electric technology with the latest trends in the off-road field, supporting both pure electric and extended-range power forms.

In terms of physical structure, the M-Hero 917 adopts a non-load-bearing body, and the coverage of high-strength steel reaches more than 85%. It is worth mentioning that we have adopted high-pressure monocoque moulding technology within super-strong steel, which is the first time it has been applied in China. This technology provides the vehicle with industry-leading strength and flexural performance. Combined with the body’s endoskeleton and high-security body structure design, it ensures the safety of the vehicle’s occupant compartment under various collision possibilities.

The high-performance, all-round electronically controlled intelligent chassis is another highlight of this physical architecture. It features the IBC, intelligent air suspension and rear-wheel steering. With an adjustable range of 150 millimetres, the Intelligent Suspension has the largest adjustable travel in the world.

The rear wheels steer at an industry-high 10.6°, enabling the 5-metre-long model to achieve a minimum turning radius of just 5.1 metres, the same as a compact car. In addition, for the first time, we have also realised ” Crab Mode”, which significantly improves the vehicle’s passability and enables a car that can go sideways.
